Cai Rang Floating Market

The biggest floating market on the Mekon Delta is the Cai Rang Floating Market. The best time of day to visit the market is around 6 am to 7 am in the morning. After that, there are a lot of tourists that visit the market on boats. It is well worth beating the mad rush. The market runs from 5am til mid-day. Cai Rang market can be seen from the road, but getting there will cost you $10 to $15. There are two main points to get to the market. You can start from the market area in Can Tho, and it’ll take you approximately 45 minutes by river, or you can drive to the closest point which is by the Dau Sau Bridge. Once at the boat landing there, it will only take about 10 minutes to reach the market.

Once you are there at the market, it is a very impressive site. There are dozens of boats selling all variety of goods lining the river on both sides. If you are looking for souvenirs, this is not the place but you can buy large quantities of goods here that are food items.

I really enjoyed traveling to and from the market by boat. As we were traveling, I shot a video tour with my 360-degree camera to give you the full experience of going shopping at the Cai Rang Floating Market.
